Claiming the Magnificence of your Being!
Imagine yourself as a Being of Light. How different would your life be? How different would you feel if you saw yourself as a magnificent Being of Light?
What stops you from living life from your true nature, your soul’s essence?
Let’s take a look inside and sift through the build up of gunk that blocks your flow of light and dims your radiance. Much like plaque build up in the veins or mineral build up in the water pipes that block the flow of life source, you will find mental build up of chronic distorted beliefs lodged in your mind, and their energetic counterparts scattered throughout your being. These beliefs create denser, heavy energy that gathers in your chakras and clogs the flow of your own Divine essence.
What exactly is the nature of these distorted beliefs that block your radiance? They are such cornerstone beliefs that crystalize early and eventually guide much of your unconscious behaviors, such thoughts as … I’m unworthy, not good enough, bad, unlovable, I always get it wrong, etc. etc. Notice how you feel as you touch on these beliefs, as you say them in your mind. These beliefs carry a very low vibration. The more intimately you are involved with these beliefs, the worse you feel about yourself, and life in general. They are insidious to our thinking process when we carry them unconsciously. They corrupt our inner dialogue with negative self references, which perpetuate a cycle of feeling bad about oneself (low self worth), which then feeds into even more negative self talk.
This is the very stuff that blocks us from our flow, that begins to slowly separate us from that beautiful feel good place of being One with Spirit.
These beliefs foster bad habits, or coping mechanisms designed to counter the negative inner dialogue, such as addiction, perfectionism, worry, busyness, depression, and more. Unbeknownst to us, these behaviors further distance us from the light. Take a minute and consider what behaviors you employ in response to your own negative inner dialogue, and now give yourself this opportunity to see them and name them. These are the defensive layers you will want to peel away and release in order to feel the light shining down on you, waiting and wanting to flow through you!
Now let’s feel the difference between these two states of being … When we believe that we are small and separate individuals, disconnected from the Divine and from each other, we suffer from loneliness, we suffer from fear, isolation, or grandiosity. The minute something goes awry, such as we get too busy, get back to that scattered mental state, what happens? We panic. We have a meltdown. We jump into our habitual bad habits. We contract! When we contract, we completely disconnect, and feel all alone, and often, overwhelmed. We all know what it’s like to have one of these moments, or to even get stuck in this kind of a funky place for days.
But how familiar are we with the opposite experience? The experience of living life in our authentic state, as a being of light, as the heart of love? When we peel away the layers, that’s what we are left with. At the root of our self, in the heart of our heart we find the light. It is a glorious experience to rest in that light. When we rest there, all doubts fall away, worries and fears, anger and exasperation dissolve effortlessly. How do we find our way back? We SURRENDER. We stop trying, stop fighting, stop doing, and we let go. When we let go, rather than life falling down around us, we float … we are carried. We are loved, we are love. And in our natural state, we EXPAND.
Now imagine living life from this place of expanded awareness of self, looking out at the world through the eyes of love … knowing that you are enough … breathing in to your own magnificence and radiating it out … feeling connected in a loving way with all of life around you. Imagine how your life would be different. Imagine how you would be different. Let’s take a glimpse … when something goes wrong in an interaction with another, you expand in love rather than contract in fear, you see the other’s vulnerability rather than their flaws, you feel the gifts of Spirit flow through you - things like a generous heart, warmth, clarity, wisdom to name but a few … issues are easily resolved in this way … you feel relaxed rather than stressed … you enjoy the moment fully … you savor the nuances … you delight in other’s joy! …Nature sings to you … you notice synchronicity … you see signs from Spirit everywhere, guiding and directing your path … you feel those gentle stirrings of your heart from within, and you remain at ease trusting your inner knowing … your experience of life is one in which the universe supports you, in which all is unfolding for your highest good.
Every moment of every day we have a choice, we can live from the expanded awareness of our Divine essence, or we can doubt the magnificent light of our nature. We can contract in fear and feel alone, or we can surrender to Spirit and relax into our essence, allowing love to guide our ways.
If the nature of surrender feels mysterious to you, if you are uncertain how to actually let go, there is a way to practice this act. The way to practice surrender is meditation. Meditation is a simple doorway into surrender, for it is an act of letting go. As we enter meditation we let go of conscious thoughts, we let go of our worries and cares, and we bring our full awareness to join with our breath. We simply allow our conscious awareness to rest. This is a mini practice in surrender, and the more regularly you practice meditation, the easier it becomes to surrender to Spirit’s guidance in moments when you feel challenged.
We invite you to connect with the light of your Soul with our free guided meditation for the month of March. You are also welcome to join us in person each month for our group meditation. The next one will be on 3/11/17, click here for all the details.
