Meditation Practice

While there are many ways to meditate, many types of meditations, and many teachers to learn from, at its core, meditation is about turning inward, being present, and growing in awareness. Meditation offers a path towards healing, balance, inspiration, and integration.


Meditation is a powerful method of self knowledge. At Sacred Healing Journey we believe in the power of meditation for self mastery; sharpening the brain’s thinking and imagining abilities, while soothing emotional intensity and lability.

Perhaps more mysterious and equally wondrous, meditation expands our brain’s capacities in ways that are harder to define. We know that meditation grows the brain’s gray matter, but did you know meditation also develops and hones the inner more subtle senses? It’s true, through the years I’ve witnessed hundreds of folks expand their intuitive and psychic abilities through meditation practice, which further deepens and expands our sense of self and self as something larger than self, our sense of oneness, support, and connection.

At SHJ meditation practices and skills are woven right into individual therapy sessions. In meditation your brain waves literally slow down, allowing your awareness to be focused and relaxed. In this state there’s a heightened sense of safety and ease, offering a path for deeper exploration of the inner realms - emotions, sensations and subtle energy… a lovely way of connecting more deeply and intimately with yourself.



Lynn has been guiding meditation in private sessions for over a decade, as well as leading a community meditation group for the past seven years, and a separate mindfulness meditation group as well.

Our Community Meditation is open to everyone —beginners and more advanced practitioners. Everyone benefits from meditation, and everyone benefits from being a part of community as well! It’s a beautiful gift to discover a place where you belong… where you can show up exactly as you are—many folks feel this way about our community meditation group. Our monthly meditation group is a great place to learn more about meditation and connect with others who have made meditation a part of their lifestyle. Monthly Community Meditation Group

We are on an amazing spiritual journey together ~ each one of us traversing our own pathway, yet at the same time, a vital part of the Oneness of Cosmic Consciousness!

You're invited to join our monthly group meditation to experience the transcendent nature of your Soul! This meditation offers the opportunity to move past limitations and tap into higher guidance and wisdom where insight and clarity reside!

We begin at 8:00 a.m. CST with a time of silent meditation to center and quiet the mind, followed by a guided meditation at 8:30, including a brief teaching, share and integration.

This group experience always holds a high vibration with meaningful lessons unfolding for each of those present.

New folks are always welcome! No prior meditation experience is needed.
